COVID Support for Businesses
IS YOUR EMPLOYEE STUCK IN LEVEL 3 AND CANNOT GET TO THE WORKPLACE?
Currently subsidy support is only available if you expect a decline in your business due to COVID-19, and/or if there are Health authority directed reasons for absence.
If your worker/s are not at the workplace, cannot work from home, and are not sick or isolating – then you should both consult the employment agreement and discuss options.

Applications for the 4th wage subsidy (opened 1st October) close at 11.59pm tonight (14th October).
WAGE SUBSIDY AUGUST 2021 #5
A 5th Wage Subsidy Scheme payment has been announced. If your business is eligible, you can apply from 9am on Friday 15th October 2021. Applications are open for two weeks. The criteria is the same, your business needs to experience or expect a 40 per cent drop in revenue. You can apply even if you have received the earlier wage subsidies – application must be made two weeks from the previous application. RESURGENCE SUPPORT PAYMENT
A 3rd payment under the RSP scheme is available to eligible businesses and organisations which experience a 30% decline in revenue due to the increased alert levels, for the period starting 1st October 2021 and ending immediately before all areas of New Zealand return to alert Level 1. Applications for this payment opened on 8th October. Note if you have not applied for the 1st and 2nd support payments, you may still be able to do so if you met the criteria on those applicable weeks (starting from 17th August 2021).
